I'm not the biggest burger person but I can appreciate a good one whenever one comes across my plate. Smashburger is a great burger joint with friendly staff and quality food. I was first introduced to them through a Yelp event that featured the Miami burger. The company creates burgers based on the location/region and only restaurants in specific areas carry the regional burger. For instance, you won't get the Miami burger in Las Vegas or vice versa. Pretty cool, IMO. I ordered the avocado club, fries and an Oreo shake. Let's just say I wasn't paying attention to my calorie intake that day. The burger was made medium as I requested, avocado was fresh and the bacon was crispy and flavorful. The thing I like most about their burgers is that they aren't messy at all. Their fries are perfectly cooked with just enough salt. They weren't soggy or crunchy but just right. I can't explain it. You have to try them to see for yourself! The Oreo shake... O. M. G. That's all I'm gonna say about that. Get it. You will send me a Yelp compliment thanking me later. You're welcome. Life is short. Eat the burger, the fries and the milkshake but don't eat it everyday. You will most likely die of a heart attack. Can't say I didn't warn you! Enjoy your burger :-)

Regular fast food burger place in my opinion. Well I guess much better than McDonalds/Burger King lines of joints. Nothing much to write home about with their sandwiches. I've never had their shakes but my co workers are always rushing to get them when we do go. It's an option for lunch.

What's a Saturday without a delicious burger for lunch!? As a burger enthusiast, I eat burgers just about anywhere. Smashburger throughly satisfied my burger craving and the price was well within my range. This Smash burger definitely had a new feel to it. Its really clean and a great place to get a very casual lunch. Not much else to say, Smashburger is pretty good :) Hope this helps!

Great place to get a burger. Service was great. All you have to do is order in the front take a number and wait for your food. I ordered the classic smash with fried egg and sweet potato delicious. The. Hamburger meat is always so flavorful and tender. I believe that concept that they use to roll up the ground beef into a ball and smash it down while it's being cooked. get it smash burger lol. Really gives a lot of flavor to the hamburger meat. Definitely worth coming back to again and again lucky that this is only minutes away from my house for me.

Great food at a good price. This was my first visit but definitely not the last. Nice atmosphere and the food was served fast and fresh.

First time here ! I tried the spicy Baja smash and my boyfriend had the classic smash. Both were really good ! The spicy Baja had tons of flavor, Chipotle sauce, guacamole and raw jalapeños top with Chipotle bread it was nice to have tried something different. The classic smash had all fresh ingredients and the meat was full of flavor. All the employees were very friendly!

Yum, yum, yum! We loved Smashburger back home in San Jose, and this one is just as good! Of course, I miss the Bay Burger, but what can you do when you're 3,000 miles away from the Bay? The dining room was a bit messy, and we had to wipe down our own table because it wasn't cleaned when the food was taken away. The food was great as usual, no complaints there!

The burger fight continues... I remember when Burger King was it and now everybody's popping up with a chain. Here enters SmashBurger, a chain that is trying to obtain the title in South Florida. This establishment is a to go and sit down restaurant and everything is made to order! This particular location is located in West Pembroke Pines beside highway I-75 on Pines Blvd in a relatively new shopping plaza. Upon entering, to the left are menus that you can pick up, you then proceed to the counter and make your order. I have always opted to create my own burger. The burger is always grilled perfectly but overall the burger is no different from other competing burger establishments! Where the separation against other burger competitors comes from is the sides... Particularly the Rosemary Fries and Onion Rings! Both options are fried fresh and FULL of flavor! I have also heard great things about the sweet potato fries. Overall, it's a place if you just want a burger but IMO the side options are more of a star than the actual burgers which is a shame.

Here's my update from day 2 of trying smashburger. BIG mistake! I ordered a bbq chicken burger that literally had four pieces onions and one 4cm piece of bacon. I thought it was a joke. But no, sadly whoever made this burger clearly did not care to make this burger anything close to the pictures or the way it should have been made. I will not recommend this smashburger location to anyone.

This place is consistent! I haven't been there in over 2 years and twice they gave me three quarters of an actual milkshake. I even asked the girl if she could give me the rest of the milk shake and she said no! I can't wait until burgerfi opens so I can receive decent service!

I eat here about 3 or 4 x's a week. Great food and service. I usually have the grilled chicken on a chipotle bun w cheese and an egg. They also have some really good shakes

I've been to this location several times. I like their burgers and I love that they serve fried pickles. I usually eat at the restaurant but decided to order to go simply because I didn't feel like going out. Well, never again. The burger was a hot mess. The bottom bun of the burger was soggy and full of grease and they went super heavy with the sauce. Like I said, I like the burgers here but I think I'll stick with eating there instead of taking my order to go.

We should have gone to Five Guys. Before we even sat down I went to the restroom. There was absolutely zero toilet paper in the bathroom. It's not as if they have the one roll dispenser. It has 2. Nothing feels better than wiping your most delicate place with a hard and scratchy brown paper towel. After we ordered our food we went to find a place to sit. This place is spacious. There were 5 or 6 other customers. Every single table in this place was dirty. Absolutely unacceptable. They delivered our food and gave my husband the wrong order. Apparently they gave someone else his order. They brought my little boy his food 15 minutes after they gave me my food. My food was soaked with grease and the olive oil Rosemary fries weren't just drizzled with olive oil they were soaked in it. I ordered a burger without bread. The lettuce that my burger was sitting on was soaked with oil and rendered inedible. There was at least a tablespoon sitting on top of it. I took a napkin to my burger after I picked it up out of the pool of grease and dabbed an additional and ungodly amount of grease off of my burger. Do they deep fry the meat? I will never come here again.

Fries are delicious. So are the burgers. Everything is very fresh and made to order. The only negative I have to say is the burgers are a little on the greasy side. Other than that it's a good burger spot.

  • Maria J.

Go somewhere else-don't waste your time. Five guys and BurgerFi are so much better. Dirty! We went early lunch time with empty dining room and almost all tables and chairs were dirty. Unfortunately, we had already ordered or we would have left. Manager took our order and was rude. I could have had a better burger at Wendy's.

  • Thomas L.

Long time since I went there and last time I had a regular size burger and I could barely taste the meat, so I went with the "big" patty this time, bacon and cheese style, and with all the veggies in. I was actually disapointed, first of all it took them 20min to make the burger (btw it wasn't a rush hour, the place was mostly empty and there were 4 burgers before mine), the veggies were very fresh and tastefull, the bun was boderline bad (tasted like old bread) and the patty was juicy but it was so salty that my mouth ended dry when I finished the burger. For what is worth I'll rather go to five guys, burgerfi or burger21; Same price, wayyyy better taste!

This place is adddictive..the burgers are very good. The Buffalo fries are amazing, and the shakes are a hit or miss depending on the date. About the same price of a fast food restaurant, but for fresh healthier alternative.

  • Nick S.

Been here a handful of times, but after the terrible service today, I had to review it. I know it isn't fast food, and should t be marketed as such, but there is no reason it should take 25 minutes to get a chicken sandwich. Especially when there aren't even 10 people in the restaurant total. Then when the (new! Spicy buffalo) chicken sandwich finally arrived, it was practically raining hot sauce. Not to mention that our other sandwich got here 10-15 minutes before the chicken sandwich. If two people are eating together, at least bring them their food together. Never coming back.

Me and my wife went there for the first time. We ordered the BBQ bacon burger and the heystack onions. The onions where swimming in grease and where so salty I could not eat them. The burger was also greasy and the meat was burned to a crisp. Even the sauce they gave us was bad. Does this place have any quality standars? Wont be back there anytime soon.

Let me begin by saying I will never be back to this place, and to the owner of this place, I say, change your management and quick because it will drive your business to the ground! I have never experienced such bad customer service in my life. When my family and I arrived the place was pretty empty, maybe 1 customer. Practically the entire staff was seating at a booth, not sure why maybe having a meeting. As I placed my order the lady at the cashier seems fustrated and even mentioned that her shift was over and no one will get up to help her, after calling for help several times, another employee eventually got up to make our milkshakes. As soon as we ordered more people started to walk in about 4 to 5 more customers, you would think that that would make the manager and employees get up from there so called meeting and help. Well your wrong that did not phase anyone. As I was sitting there I was just really surprised at what was going on. I see our food ready to be picked up and still no one would get up! Now getting really upset because we have been waiting for about 25 minutes for 2 burgers and some fries! The manager lady ( which I believe was the manager). Heavy set colored lady with some major fake eyelashes, finally gets up, goes towards the food and spends another 5 minutes laughing and staring at the screen trying to figure out where the food goes. By this time there is about 4 more parties that arrived after me that are also waiting for the food. I see the manager taking our food to another table, mind you everyone in this place at this time came after us! Obviously they told her that, that was not what they ordered, she takes it back, while she is doing this Im trying to get her attention and telling her that it was our food but I guess she was too busy roller her eyes at the customers she just served with the wrong food to notice me our she just was ignoring me. I believe she was doing both. At this point I'm livid! The manage starts serving food to everyone that came after us! After like 40 minutes of this ridiculousness I walk up to the cashier, tell her what's going on and ask for a credit. She tells me to hold on and goes to talk to the so called manager, returns to me and says, fine we will give your money back. At no point in time did anyone apologize or do anything to make this situation better. UNBELIEVABLE!

Ate here with a friend and we both got sick. Could not stay away from the restrooms for 2 days, sick to my stomach. I think the meat was bad or something, but I prefer five guys.

  • Dee D.

Rude staff. Complained that the fountain coke tasted funny and they proceeded to taste it and tell me I was wrong. Asked if I could switch for a bottled coke and they said I would have to purchase it. Also, employee in kitchen wearing no hat or hair net. I guess she didn't want to ruin her fabulous hair. Bacon on my burger only covers half my sandwich... First time here probably won't ever be back

  • Kay F.

The burgers was ok. I ordered the avocado burger. The ingredients were pretty fresh but I found the burger on the smaller size for the price. But the taste was good and I loved the cookie & cream milkshake. It was yummy!!!!!

The greasiest burger you will ever have in your entire life.. Don't waste your calories & clog your arteries on this burger.. It doesn't even have taste. Gross

A kids meal, a big burger and smash fries- $15. Fries- $2, burger-$7, kids meal-$5 and tax-$1. The kids meal comes with fries and a drink. The place overall seems mismanaged. A lot of people just standing around chatting loudly. If this were my restaurant, I'd be pissed. This the second time I have encountered a less then friendly cashier. The young girl who handed me my to go order seemed to be the most professional person in the place. Place was pretty empty. The smash fries are delicious burger is just okay and a little pricey. The way they do the kids chicken is kind of cool (see pic). If there was another burger place close by I would go there. Burger places are a dime a dozen these days, if these people are going to hang- they need to step it up.

The guy that took our order seemed so annoyed with taking our order and our burgers tasted like cardboard - Lowest quality food Possible - I hope the manager or someone in corporate media sees this and thinks oh man we suck let's make good food and hire staff that treats customers like human beings. Sheesh

  • Kalvin K.

Definitely one of the new trendy burger joints that one sees popping up all over the US. The burgers are pretty greasy for what they are. Some may like this, but my party did not like it. The prices are a little bit higher than standard fast food places but lower than a place like B&B. The food quality falls in line with the prices. My group will likely not come back simply because the portions do not match the food prices. We rather go to B&B for a little bit more.

This was my first time here, I loved the smash fries! Perfect seasoning. Had a traditional bacon cheese burger and it was good too. Next time I may try the spicy jalapeño Bahia! Overall I would definitely recommend!

I'm bumping Smash up a star because I come to this place at least 2 times a month. That says alot! Their smash fries are soo addictive and their burgers are always fresh & juicy, not overly greasy. They manage to be consistent with both quality and service. They recently added honest kids apple juice to the kids menu with is a major plus. Before I would have to bring my own juice from home because the only drink option for kids was soda or gatorade.

Well it's my first time here so I'll give you a newbies review nice place to do lunch friendly folks great music , ordered the BBQ bacon cheddar , lemon tea and smash fries . I added an egg to the burger and it was very good cooked to perfection the fries were crispy and tender in the center olive oil with a rosemary infusion brought those fries to life the tea was very refreshing bug what really made this place a place to come back to was the staff I wish them much luck . Enjoy its worth the break . By the way Katie is awesome ask for her .

We went there a few weeks ago and my wife ordered a chicken salad and a couple of hours later she started feeling really bad. She spent the whole night throwing up and with diarrea. Turns out she got food poisoning. She had told me the chicken was a bit hard. This place used to be great but it looks like it was sold or something because the whole staff has changed. Now every time I have gone the burgers are so so. Beware don't order chicken at a burger joint, especially this one. I definitely won't be going back after this. Try something like burgerfi

  • James F.

Smashburger is the best burger chain in America, period. You cannot find a chain with higher quality ingredients, from burger to fries to milkshake. Their olive oil rosemary garlic fries are the best. Burgers are juicy, dressings are fresh and attractive. The menu is not extensive, allowing them to concentrate on what is important. The price is barely higher than McDonalds, which is obviously lousy by comparison to Smashburger.

Good food. Nice to see healthy options. Kids meals are good value. They gave us free kids meal coupons for next visit which was really nice. My wife had jalepeno chicken burger which was awesome. I will go again for sure

BEST fast food fries... But the garlic ones :) the hamburgers are good and reasonably priced as well.

  • Acelyn B.

We came here with a Groupon in hand, which helps the cost of these burgers. I really don't remember what I ordered nor how much I liked or disliked the burger, which means it was only ok. I do remember getting the Smashfries, which were pretty good. I also remember the boyfriend getting the sweet potato fries, which I liked better. We really wanted to try the shakes because they're made with Haggen Dasz! Sadly, they ran out. Boooo. So next trip will probably only be to try the shake.

  • Laura W.

Nothing that special. It has about as much ambiance as a Chipolte. Didn't like the onion rings, which are like gnawing on fried string. Burgers are OK, nothing more. Dining companions enjoyed the shakes.

    (3)
  • Rey F.

Good Burgers, a bit over priced. The Burgers are good, they are a little over priced and their fries are not that good. A good place to go for a one on one lunch but not to pick up a whole pack of burgers for the family.

  • Krys P.

I'm giving this a four because it has a veggie burger that actually is tasty. And fresh. Not something lying at the bottom of the freezer for 6 months. The beef burger is quite good though not the best, but not bad for the price. Definitely opt for the smashfries with rosemary, olive oil and garlic seasonings, available in russet or sweet potatoes and curiously same price as regular fries. I like the Spicy Baja and Avocado Club. And you can substitute black bean burger for any of them. Don't go for the Create Your Own though, as they charge for cheeses and any interesting toppings like guacamole and bacon so you'd likely pay more than picking off the menu. Service is actually pretty good on my visits. They brought the burgers to us and nicely brought us anything else we need (sauces, etc.)

The best place for burgers, we love it every time we visit. Staff very friendly and the burgers are amazing.

  • Mike U.

The staff is very friendly and will help you throughout your burger build. The burgers are good and tasty with the selected topped burgers on the menu or you can build your very own custom burger. The burgers are fresh and made to order and the buns are delicious and soft covering every inch of the patty. The fries are excellent...especially the seasoned ones!

The Good, the Bad, and the bottom line. BAD- this place seems to be under very poor management. Everyone there doesn't seem to know what their doing, just chatting away, not paying attention to customers. I've been here a few times for takeout and ohhhhh you will be waiting FOREVER to receive your food. They are a lot faster if you sit in and eat. Several times I have come here for a milkshake, and they are usually out of milk or they have forgotten to make my milkshake as I wait there like an idiot while they attend to other customers after me... Ehhhhh ok... And not to be super picky or anything, but the rug always smells super dirty and unclean.. .. GOOD- the ONLY reason why I keep coming back to this place is because the burgers and shakes are soooo fantastic, the ONLY reason I keep coming back!!!! I'm am boggled by how some reviewers say the food here is not a big deal. It must've been something specific they ordered? I always get the BBQ cheddar burger and an Oreo milkshake- soooooo delicious. Burgers are a bit pricey, but your paying for a good quality burger, not a mcdonalds burger. Burgers are not as greasy as five guys, and bigger and more flavorful then burger fi. BOTTOM LINE- this place has AMAZING BURGERS and MILKSHAKES. That's what this place is good for. Service and cleanliness in my opinion is mediocre.. If you come then actually sit down and eat. Don't do take out because if not they will forget about you and you will be waiting FOREVERRRRRRRR.

Been to Smashburger in Vegas at several locations. Loved them all. This one is the filthiest, slowest service one I have ever been to. The employees could care less, it is dirty and the food takes forever.

  • Far I.

Stopped by here to grab a bite, based on a relative's recommendation. I had the burger with the jalapeños and pepper jack cheese, a fountain soda and fries. Fries were good, burger was good primarily because of the toppings, but the patty itself was a bit bland for my liking. I'd like to give them another try to really determine if I like Smash Burger or not.

  • Felicia R.

Just opened up In pines, staff was very nice, everything was very brand new clean, plenty of seating, modern takeout/dine-in fast food restaurant. I had the Classic w/ cheeseburger with Smash fries (fries with rosemary, olive oil and garlic) very tasty. It was very fresh and I would return to try their Miami Burger, that i was told it was very good.

  • Fred C.

Well I can't say anything about their food because they wouldn't serve anybody because their cash registers were down. So instead of taking orders by hand they just stopped all together. Doesn't seem like a good business model...

This place has guacamole jalapeno burgers which was delicious, will definitely go back to try the avocado bacon burger. They could take orders faster they were a bit slow with that. Will probably call in my order next time I go.

This place is GREAT! The Burgers are awesome! I always order the Smash Burger and double it because one patty isn't enough. The fries are great whether it's the sweet potato fries or just the regular fries. And the shakes are off the chain!!! Defiantly recommend this place!!!!!

Before I tell you why I am giving Smashburger 5 stars, let me ask other reviewers to please be objective and reasonable when the write thirst own reviews. I could not say that everyone at a particular hotel is crazy just because I happen to stay there during a bomb scare. That been said, I tried the mushroom and Swiss burger and it was astounding. Juicy and tasty and hot. Perfectly cooked. I also tried the grilled chicken sandwich topped like a Cuban Frita with sliced chorizo and shredded fried potatoes. A true work of culinary sandwich art with sliced tomatoes, onions and perfect lettuce leaves. Would not change a thing. And for $6.99 it is a steal. I was recently at ROK Burger in the Gables and paid $16.00 for a burger less than half as tasty as this one. BTW Elevation Burger may be down the street, but it doesn't even come close.

This place is somewhat new and I am glad that they opened one in Pembroke Pines. I've always wanted to try Smash Burger, so today I finally gave it a try! The staff is very friendly and helpful. As soon as you walk up to the register you find yourself a happy Employee who is ready to take your order. We ordered the Spicy Baja Smash, BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar Smash, and a kids Smashburger. The Spicy Baja Smash contains: Pepper jack cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onions, spicy chipotle mayo and fresh jalapeños on a spicy Chipotle bun. But I omitted the onions. I think they should go light on the guacamole, because it gets so mushy when you try and eat it. The meat itself wasn't flavored that well. The BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar Smash contains: BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar cheese and haystack onions on an egg bun. And I omitted the onions as well in this. Last but not least, a kids Smashburger with Fries and Drink. I love the fact that the kids meal was only $4.29, which was not bad at all. Overall the burgers were not greasy, the patties were huge, but it just needs a little bit of more seasoning. Also, you get to choose either if you want it a "Smash" or "Big Smash"... The "Smash" is 1/3 pound size, and the "Big Smash" half pound size. Other than that everything tasted delicious! But, I definitely will try the other burgers next time.

  • Kathy D.

This place is a little slow on serving. You order at the front, grab a number and wait until they find you when your food is ready. I feel like they either need more cooks or more servers to help speed production. I tried their pounded-chicken avocado burger and got fried pickles on the side. You have the option to choose the chicken to either be fried or grilled. I tried their fried option and it was delicious all in a multi-grain bun. The bread is definitely important in a burger, and it was spot on! The chicken was moist and tasty and the toppings was n ice and fresh. The fried pickles on the other hand were extremely salty for some reason. I didn't like the coating over it either. Fried pickles are usually a hit and miss everytime I order it somewhere, and its a miss here. Definitely skip it!

This place is in the fairly new shopping strip off of I 75 and pines, so I thought it would be insanely crowded. I was surprised that It wasn't. It was a very nice experience, didn't feel rushed and the food came out to our table. You pay a decent amount for good, quality food. The burgers don't give you that nasty aftertaste and everything seems really fresh all the time. I especially love their sweet potato fries! A must have when coming to this locale.

We waited in line (about 10 minutes.. not so bad) I ordered 2 burgers, fries and a kids meal... we waited and waited and waited 30 minutes later I notice the staff saying something and many people just fled... I mean RAN out the door Maybe I should have taken this as a sign?? but I already paid.... 15 minutes later my food comes out... the burgers were ok warm and the fries were COLD the girl that had served our food felt bad and wanted to take it back...for what.. so I can wait another 45 minutes for more cold food? no thanks yeah... last time I'm coming back to this place.

What kills this restaurant is the fact that their staff isn't the friendliest and at times they actually run out of condiments. Other than that, the burgers and sweet potato fries are very tasty. I especially like their whole grain buns. Best I've ever had. But the burgers just don't sing to me like a Red Robin. They are prepared like that of one of the lesser quality burger joints where they throw the burger down and mash it when it is so much better to prepare it in advance so that all of the burgers are uniform.

Smashburger isn't anything to scream about or go super loco over. The service is typically very friendly albeit kind of slow despite it being devoid of patrons. Oh well, to be fair, maybe they had to re-fire the grill! The Oreo shake my friend ordered came about 15 minutes after it was ordered and it wasn't anything special. The burger I had was the American con queso. I requested it very well done. Usually this request is ignored at any place besides Fatburger. This place got it just right with no unusual delay. I think the bun should be a little larger to fit the size of the patty and the bread itself isn't such a great quality/savory like some others say. The single order of fries was spoken of by the cashier as though it was, "suficiente para dos." Ay que no! We should have gotten two. The restaurant itself is in a great location and is well kept as of the writing of this review. It's perfect for skipping the garbage sodas they serve inside by bringing in something much better (like a raw coconut water) from WFM next door! Three stars is good for this place.

OMG this place is awesome!! Nice location, in a very new shopping center. I got the smash chicken with bar b q and cheese! So amazing! The chicken is "smashed" so thin! The bun amazing! Sweet potato fries on the side always good! My bf got the American burger so yummy! Next time I will be getting it! Overall the place is great not expensive either! Next time in trying a shake! Enjoy!

Their staff and food quality has taken a nose dive in the past 6 months. I used to come almost weekly, but I'm throwing in the towel tonight after returning half of my meal because it was inedible.

This is a great no-frills burger joint. I went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but wait-time wasn't too bad. I was impressed - the cashier said we would have our food in 7-8 minutes and she was spot on. I got the classic burger with grilled onions and Swiss cheese. I would compare it to a Wendy's single stack burger but with much better ingredients. The sweet potato fries were great and had an interesting twist with added garlic and rosemary. My only complaint would be the overwhelming amount of oil sitting at the bottom. Also, try the Salted Caramel Shake! It goes great with their burgers.

At first I was excited because their menu looked good and I noticed they had gluten free buns and Organic milk ( for kids or adults that drink milk). I ordered an avocado burger on gluten free bun ( they were out of bacon though..) and wanted cheese added. Plus a gluten free bun cheese burger for my son. His came with fries but I added the rosemary fries to my order. Since being in S. Florida I've noticed customer service out here is almost non-exsistent and most employees are seem to be unfamiliar with etiquette. After I ordered the girl who took my order was waiting by the food window eating fries clearly in the eye of all the customers. This is a big no no whenever I've been a server. She even came out of the floor with fries in hand. I doubt she even washes her hands... When I finally got my order which took long enough. My sons fries were not even warm. My burger was mediocre at best (they forgot the cheese) and the rosemary fries were ok. I miss California burgers. You do have The Counter out here in Aventura I recommend them for a real burger experience.

Soo, after finally getting chastized enough by my friend to check this place out, we concluded on it's opening, partly by the rather large sign outside the facility stating they were now open. The atmosphere is really cool for a burger place. Nice, clean and just right. Employees are very courteous. Albeit crowded but I'll attribute that to everything in the plaza opening up around the same time. I ordered the Spicy Baja burger. The burger itself was tasty and a bit crispy (somewhat flat style meat -- I guess that's where this place gets it's name from). Pepper jack cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, spicy chipotle mayo and fresh jalapeños on a spicy chipotle bun. Let me tell you, although it was all fresh and the burger was tasty and the bun was soft, it really wasn't all that spicy whatsoever. I was expecting a bit more kick. Overall though, nice place, yummy burger. My friend had the Miami burger which comes with chorizo. It looked like a mound of crunched up bacon -- I never tried it though, but it looked interesting. The fries were good, the chili cheese fries had actual chili taste to it. Yum. My favorite though were the onion rings. Skinny, flaky and crunchy, all accompanied with a yummy dipping sauce. I will definitely be making my way back to try the rest of the goodies.

Stopped by on a fri night after hearing some good buzz. The website says they are open until 11:00pm so I was surprised to see they were closing the doors at 9:45, right after I arrived. The order taker kept telling the employee on floor to lock the doors as she did not want to deal with anymore customers so close to closing time. I was greeted with, "the burgers are going to take about 20-25 minutes" giving me the impression she was hoping i would turn around and walk away so she would not have to deal with taking the order. I could not get a shake as I was told they stop making them when it gets too crowded. Did not make sense since they were only 30-40% full. I think the girl just did not want t make it because it was close to closing time. Girl asking orders and running the cash register also makes the shakes. The large colorful poster showing amazingly delicious looking shakes made it all the more torturous. I was able to finagle an ice cream float since that required a lot less effort on her part. The order was ready in 15 minutes but when I got to my car I realized it was the wrong order. They appeared very confused and no apologies. My real order then came out a couple of minutes later. I loved the sweet potato smash fries and my do it yourself burger was great but the mushroom Swiss burger VERY DRY. Since I really liked the DIY burger with the fried egg and the fries I will brave it and give this place another shot.

Service is kinda slow both times we were here. I tried their original burger with a fried egg this time. Their smash sauce kinda overwhelmed the taste of the meat and the egg. The sweet potato smash fries are still very yummy. A must get!

Food and service is average. I had the Classic burger and fries. I didn't know that they served the burger med rare and the server never asked. For the price I rather go to Five Guys.

Really slow service, messy, but the food was actually pretty good... Too expensive for what you get though. And no meal options have to get sandwich drink and fries all separately.

SMASHBURGER ! the BBQ Bacon is the best out the entire menu! I went three times for lunch in one work week! My co worker gave me a 5 coupon and my burger only cost a buck last time I went !

For a burger place, this is pretty good. Since we have gone gluten free, we don't frequent these kinds of establishments too often. The burger seemed overly seasoned to the point it was salty. I'm not sure if that's just because we are more sensitive to sodium, but it was overwhelming. Saying that, SmashBurger is one of the much better chains, a good competitor to Five Guys.

Unfortunately, this place is going downhill. I originally raved about Smashburger when it first opened up, but after trying it recently (twice) at the Kendall location and once here in Pembroke Pines, I am done with them. It's not that the burgers or fries are horrible now. They are still ok. The problem is that during these last three visits, there are always issues that disrupt the enjoyment of our meal. During our recent visit to this location, they ran out of three things: the regular egg buns, bacon, and sweet potato fries. For our group, that killed about 50% of what we wanted in our order. Then, as many have noted, the food took way too long. I don't mind waiting at a restaurant, but at a burger joint, this was too much. Lastly, the burgers were slightly overcooked/dry. Still quite good, but not the "wow" experience from our first visit. Similar issues have plagued the Kendall location, both with service and cooking quality. I don't want to mix both location reviews into one, but I feel that the management of this chain needs to perform some overall quality control on multiple locations. We will not be back to any Smashburger.

Came here with a group of 5 people and all of us were extremely disappointed. The Rosemary fries were the best part of the meal which we all agreed. Veggie black bean was okay but not great. The actual burger was so dry. Never coming here again unless I order the Rosemary fries.

  • Bao N.

I've been to several different smash burger locations and some outside of Florida. I cannot write a review for the burgers since I don't eat meat so my review is based on the black bean burger. It is really hard finding a decent place with veggie burgers and this place does give you a decent spicy black bean burger. The patty did fall apart making it difficult to eat but besides that I did like it. I also had the sweet potato french fries with it which I enjoyed. My daughter got the chicken finger and fries followed up by an oreo shake. Of course you can't to wrong with a shake which is the reason why she wants to go back here. Nothing exciting or fancy about this place and I'd go back since it's reasonable in price.

Best burger place in town! My grandmother recommended me here since she went to the one in Houston, Texas and she said it was the best restaurant! We went no knowing what to expect. I ordered the classic smashburger which came with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, ketchup, and their famous smash sauce. The BEST!!! The burger wasn't too thick but not too thin. I also ordered the smash fries ok the side. Wasn't as good as I expected, but they were okay. The rosemary had an overwhelming taste, but it was decent. For dessert I got the oreo milkshake!!!! TO DIE FOR! Everyone needs to try this place!! Employees were overly nice and the service was good.

I been here twice. Experience One I was sober. It does not entirely mean this paragraph will be about how the burger is just plain mediocre, on the contrary, it was really good. It was juicy and well flavored. The fries with rosemary and truffle were taste-tastic, but eventually the rich flavor made me long for less flavored fries. Solution, sharing is caring. Overall the place was pricey, but good. Pricey did not matter since my girlfriend picked up the tab. Experience Two I am drunk. I picked up my own tab and made a look of disgust at the price of the burger. I bite my burger and it just felt tiny. Almost as if I had been duped by the burger man. Again, I got fries, but this time the plain Sweet Potato Fries. They did them to perfection. Conclusion Decent burgers and great fries at high prices for a burger joint, It would not be my idea to go here, but at the same time if this was suggested I would go.

Seems burger joints are a dime a dozen these days with everyone trying to get in on the action. Smashburger is very good, not as pricey as fuddruckers and definitely a helluva lot tastier. Great burgers, great fries, and a cool vibe. But I can't harold it better than any other spot, there's just too many places for burgers these days for this place to really wow me.

Underwhelmed. I have been twice now and I have yet to be completely satisfied. The first time I had the spicy baja burger. It was good, but it felt like something was missing. The smash fries were nothing to write home about. Second visit I had the BBQ bacon cheddar burger...I wish I had went with the avocado club because I missed the lack of lettuce/tomato. I could have added it, but I did't think about until I got home and unwrapped a burger with meat, cheese & (very little) onion rings. It did have some BBQ sauce on it, but it still tasted a little dry. The fries were already cold by the time I got home. Maybe if I had tasted them as soon as I got them, my opinion would be different. I'm sure they will have something I will really like so I will be back to try something else.

Milkshakes! Yum.... I heard raving reviews about this place when I lived in Arizona and noticed they open this place in Pembroke Pines,fl off I-75 near the whole foods. Went in after my coworker told me she had the best sweet potato fries and milkshake. I had a $12 voucher groupon I used and since I ordered sweet potato fries and a nuttybutty milkshake I went with a black bean burger. The blackbean was spicy I did not like it and ended up throwing it away. i loved the milkshake and fries... I want to go back and try their burgers when I'm in town.

Definitely NFM (not for me). If you're anything like me and like a nice, juicy, medium rare burger this place is not for you either. I kinda knew this from the start, but I'll be darned if a new burger joint is going to open, and I am not going to try it! Maybe it's possible that one day, a fully cooked burger will be just so flavorful and deliciously charred, that I will love it. Not today! But there was still hope. The rest of the menu looks really good, the place is new and fresh and beautiful. The concept and ambiance all say "winner". And what do I spot on the menu? Fried pickles. Yum, an old favorite. They would have been great if they were not so salty. I know fried pickles are salty, but this was beyond that. I told one of the guys who brings out food. I would have ordered something else. He insisted on bringing out the same thing, even after I told him it was not ADDED salt, it was the pickles being too salty to begin with. After a long while, and having finished my meal, as I was going up to ask for a refund, he comes up to the table with a new batch. Of the same pickles. Were they magically supposed to be different? This batch was worse, as they were now all stuck together, and more like pickle stacks. Having had enough, I headed to the register for a refund. The cashier asks the manager, and he tells her to give me a refund. Then he comes over and says that he hopes everything else was good. I was honest, and told him "not really" and about me liking med. rare burgers. He did not like that. He made some comment about how busy they were. I understand if a chain wants to have a certain product and concept, and I am not telling them to do it any differently. I am simply saying NFM. I would have given this place three stars until the manager stepped in and showed me what their attitude toward the customer is. I would have also given the place another try. Not any more. Dear Mr. Manager, OF COURSE you're busy! You just opened and are in a brand new plaza with other businesses just opening. People want to try your place. People want to like your place. If they do, they'll be back. If not, WE'LL go someplace else. I like to see businesses succeed. I hope you stay busy. Just don't count on me to be one of your customers. Oh, and one final thing: for a brand new business with as fresh a concept as yours, to not offer wi fi, makes no sense at all!

I have to say the place is very clean and the staff is friendly. The food is fresh, but they really need to start paying attention. This is the second time i go and order the smash chicken sandwich and they forget to put the cheese on it. And this time they forgot the bacon as well. When we asked if they add the cheese and bacon they added only one of the cheeses and left the bacon out again. When i mentioned it to them again and asked for the manager, they told me he couldn't come because he was in the back cooking. Not very good customer service. We finally were given a coupon for a free sandwich next time we come. I really hope they can get there act together. Food is fresh and the chili cheeses fries and sweet potato fries are good. THere shakes are made with Haagen Daz ice cream. Because it is new expect to wait a while for food and the line at lunch can get really big.

I had lunch here today with some co-workers on one of their recommendations. All of us had burgers but I will speak only to mine. I ordered a Big BBQ, Bacon & Cheddar Smashburger with a fried egg and the sweet potato smashfries. The burger was awesome, very good and appeared to be very fresh. I was a bit disappointed that the patty was not whole, it was chopped into a few pieces making some bites a bit awkward. The egg was a hair overcooked but it was very nice with the burger, AFTER I got the egg. The burgers had some taste to them that I can't pin down but it really made the burger, it may have been seasoning on the burger or seasoning from the grill but either way it was excellent! Fair warning, I am not a sweet potato fry guy. The sweet potato smashfries are AWESOMELY FANTASTIC! The mixture of garlic, rosemary and olive oil and the crispy fried sweet potatoes is perfect. I couldn't help but devour and share the entire order! I will definitely order these again. I was very disappointed that myself and a coworker got our meals served incorrectly. Two burgers without the selected add-ons (fried eggs) and the french fries for each meal were wrong and mixed up. Minor but significant for something so simple. Cleanliness was spot on and we were there at the peak of lunch hour, right around 12:30. The floors were clean as were the bathrooms. Open tables were clean or bussed quickly. There was a line to the door but it moved quickly and efficiently, I can't recall waiting around and fidgeting with my phone while I waited. I would have given four stars had the mistakes with the burger add-ons and fries happened. Get the orders correct 95% of the time and I'd give them four stars but they lose one for that.

Welcome to Pines Smashburger!!! This area is getting quickly populated and I am a happy camper. It's about time we get to have some fun places in Pines. OMG! This place was awesome. I created my own burger with grilled onions, mushrooms and goat cheese. That's right goat cheese. AMAZING!! Oh and let's talk about the fried pickles. I hate pickles but fried pickles are now my fav. Overall a great new addition to our side of the world. Next up... Whole Foods on the 28th.

I'll start off by saying that this place isn't bad, it just doesn't jive with me for some reason. The burgers are tasty and the meat is somewhat similar to Shake Shack but no where near as good. They have interesting choices for sides such as sweet potato fries, fried pickles or their "smash" fries with come with olive oil and rosemary. The problem is none of the sides are particularly good. All in all, I'd rather go to Five Guys and get a better overall experience or Shake Shack if I can find one near me! Also, the staff here always seems to be running around in some kind of a frantic rush.

I ordered the avocado burger, bacon burger, fries and an oreo shake and food was good but service was terrible. Asked someone to clean the table and she said ok she will be right back and I see her cleaning other tables from people that came after me. Asked a different girl to please clean the table she only took the trays from the table and left all the cups and she started cleaning other tables . My food came and the girl placed my food on the dirty table (that was disgusting) and had to wait for someone to finally clean my table. My oreo shake came to the table when I'm almost done eating. Please do something with the service.

We went here around 9:30 on a friday night and this place was pretty packed. Service was a little slow. We got grilled chicken spicy baja and classic chicken with a side of their fries. You have the option of either getting your chicken grilled or fried. I got the grilled one, it was served on a multi grain bun. Chicken was moist and good but chipotle sauce made it mushy and hard to eat. Classic grilled chicken was delicious. Their rosemary truffle fries were over-seasoned and greasy.

I got 2 burgers the first one was a regular smash burger normal bun, the second was a mushroom Swiss on a egg bun and sweet potato and regular fries. the regular burger was really plain even though it had lettuce and tomato on it the plain fries were really bad no flavor. The Mushroom Swiss on egg bun was really good the bun had good flavor and the burger was good both were a little greasy. Sweet potato fries had really good flavor no ketchup needed. the restaurant was clean good A.C system staff was helpful and food was delivered quickly. I will go back and get a double burger with Swiss and Mushroom.

Tried it the first time and thought the Angus burger was pretty good. I like that you can add a fried egg if you'd like. The 2nd time tried the chicken and was sold. Very tasty! The smash fries are also delcious...they are seasoned with rosemary, olive old, and garlic. The shakes made with Haagen Dasz ice cream are good although not as good as having one at Haagen Dasz. Smashburger wins my vote over Elevation Burger down the road since they actually have chicken and alternatives for non-burger loving peeps like myself.

This place is in desperate need of better management because it's quickly going downhill. My husband and I were really excited about a new burger place opening in the area after being somewhat disappointed by other local burger joints. We ate here the week that they opened and loved it! My husband's burger was juicy as was my grilled chicken sandwich. The sweet potato smash fries were awesome! The ingredients were all fresh. The service was friendly and relatively quick and there was an employee working hard to keep the dining area clean. The manager even came over to check on us. An added plus for me was that many of the menu items were already on My Fitness Pal so I didn't have to track down the nutritional information for my meal. On the very first visit we knew that this was the beginning of beautiful relationship. Since then, we've lost that lovin' feeling. I would say that we've been back about six or seven times and each of those visits have revealed a decline in food quality, customer service, and restaurant cleanliness. The floor is usually filthy and I have had to search for a table that was properly cleaned on more than one occasion. My beloved sweet potato smash fries are now consistently served greasy and mushy. On one trip I ordered a Miami burger and it was inedible by the time I reached the middle because of a ridiculous overabundance of salt. We deduced that they had probably scooped up the last of the frita potatoes from the container and dumped all the salt that settles to the bottom on my burger. On my last visit I ordered a classic cobb salad with grilled chicken. When I began mixing the salad I realized that they forgot the chicken. My husband checked the receipt and we had indeed ordered and paid for it, so he grabbed my salad and took it to the manager. The manager quickly grabbed the salad from my husband (I'm not sure if he apologized or not), handed it to the kitchen, and disappeared. My husband stood there a bit dazed for a moment and returned to our table. We immediately flagged down an employee and told her what had happened and that we'd like for them to bring my salad back and just bring out the chicken when it was done. I was really hungry and didn't want to have to sit there and watch my husband eat or have his food get cold while he waited for my salad to return. She proceeded to head to the register area to stock supplies and make shakes without attempting to talk to the kitchen or seek out the manager. I couldn't believe her blatant disregard for customers. By the time my salad was brought out again, my husband was long done with his burger. The server apologized for the wait and explained that THEY THREW OUT THE ENTIRE SALAD AND REMADE THE ENTIRE THING. I was appalled at the needless waste of perfectly good food. What a terrible decision, especially because they were very busy! Like many people, I expect good food, good service, and cleanliness when I spend my money to eat anywhere. However, I am also patient, especially when a restaurant first opens. I expect there to be a few inconsistencies and I am willing to give a place a few chances to get it right. At this point though, Smashburger has just about used up all of it's chances. Maybe I'll give them a month or so to get their act together, but I really think management is in over their heads at this location and it's really a shame because I really thought they " were the one."

I was looking for dessert and saw the big menu on their front door where they mentioned Haagen Dazs milkshakes!! ....really? Let my try, after all Haagen Dazs chocolate is the best in the world!!!..... Well, I stood in line for almost 10 min, waited another 5 for the shake to be made only to find out it was made with vanilla ice cream and chocolate SYRUP!!! I have never felt more robbed in my life, the poor girl who made the shake felt bad, obviously it wasn't her fault, but I can't believe they advertise Haagen Dazs milkshakes in 3 different flavors and actually use a vanilla base and then syrup to make the flavor!! The milkshake experience was so bad that I don't remember about the burger I had there the previous time!.... Obviously will never go back! Maybe go for the burgers but stay away from the shakes unless you order plain vanilla!

Great burgers, great prices, great location, for $4.99 you get an incredibly delicious burger with unlimited toppings and soda! Their milkshakes are very good too! Customer service is pretty decent but nothing to rave about. Wish they had pineapple topping as a topping choice though :( Will definitely go back.

Went to Smashburger with the family and everything we had was delicious. I had the regular All American burger, my kids had the Miami burger and my grandkids had the chicken tenders and everything was tasty. The burgers are not greasy like the competition, and are much bigger and juicier.

I tried the double Spicy Baja burger. The burger taste good and the bun goes well with it. It wasn't spicy at all but good flavor. I also had their sweet potato fries and onion rings. I thought their onion was not that great. It's more like Tony Romas onion rings. Very thin cut and lightly batter. The sweet potato fries was also average. The portions are very small for the price you paid.

My Smash burger cherry has been popped!! Okay, it wasn't as great as I expected but it wasn't dreadful. I came in for dinner with my boyfriend after I decided we needed some fuel for the insane packing escaped we had planned for the rest of the evening. It was absolutely packed! There were literally people every where. When we got a table of course it was dirty so I asked a waitress if we could please have someone wipe it down she smiled and did it herself, that was nice. I ordered the Mushroom Swiss with avocado, the burger itself was juicy but it tasted like it was missing something, I'm not sure what. I didn't like that they didn't ask how I would like my burger cooked (medium well) thanks! oh! I almost forgot the burger was huge but they had no knifes to cut the burger in half, uhm strange? Forks..check. Spoons .... check. Knifes...fail. My favorite was the sweet potato smash fries cooked in rosemary, garlic and olive oil--ahhhhmazing! I'll comeback just for that! The boyfriend had the spicy baja with mushrooms in the double he had no complaints and could've gone for another lol

We live in Davie within 5 minutes of Knucklehead Burger, Five Guys, and BurgerFi, but we decided to give Smash Burger a try on a Sunday evening. 4 hungry people (2 adults, 2 kids) who love burgers. Sorry to say, this was a bust of an experiment and our money would've been better spent at any of the three "local" burger places. Or even Wendy's, for that matter. First of all, after we ordered and had been sitting for 5 minutes, an employee came over to tell us they were out of the egg buns. I'm not sure how you can be out of egg buns on a weekend, but that was a bummer, to be sure. Next disappointment--the size of the "big smash" bacon cheeseburger. Our kids got the "smash" classic burgers, and husband got the "big smash" bacon cheeseburger. The patties were identical in size. The only noticeable differences were that the bacon cheeseburger had 2 tiny strips of bacon and the classic did not. That's $2 for bacon! A little steep. There were no napkins at any of the tables, nor were there any with the condiments. Several of the tables were not bussed the whole time we were there (30 minutes) and the ladies bathroom was filthy. Needless to say, we won't be back.

There has been an influx of hamburger joints being built lately and of all of the "grease pots", this one is definitely different! You can easily come in to this one (hopefully not in the 85% of the time that the line goes out the door!) and you can expect a different experience. My husband was not impressed with the Miami (Frita Burger), however we went back and he gave the Mushroom Bacon a try and quickly changed his mind! I like that this place gives you OPTIONS! I have ordered the Create Your Own Skinny Chicken with any topping I want! I have ordered it with grilled onions, guacamole, ketchup, blue cheese and I even got fried pickles as a side item although their smash fries are delish! Definitely will be back with or without my BOGO coupon! ;) Oh and they also have beer and salads too! ;)

Was hoping to experience Hamburger Bliss and instead I got dissed.. I went with an open mind and an empty stomach hoping to get myself a tasty burger. We had placed the order ahead of schedule via phone hoping that by the time I get home (1/2 a mile away) the burgers would be nice and hot. I picked up our order and asked for two milkshakes to go. He told me the burgers were done and it would take a couple of minutes to get the shakes, no problem. Five minutes passed and my empty cups were still waiting on the counter. Apparently the employee that is in charge of the register also makes the shakes. I finally got my shakes fifteen minutes later. I got home and opened our bags and of course our food was frozen. I reached in to grab my Truffle Fries and there were drenched in oil... Pretty Gross. We ended up nuking our food, no choice. I had the Miami Burger and this had zero taste. My wife had the veggie burger which surprisingly was very good. The fries could not be rescued and had to be thrown in the garbage. This was not a pleasant experience and honestly was very dissapointed. Will stick with Elevation Burger down the street.

I like my hamburgers, but I had been avoiding this place because, quite frankly, the name of it is just....unappealing. I pictured a greasy, blah, burger joint! But the other day, my husband and I were in the Whole Foods shopping plaza on Pines off the 75 and I was in the mood for a hamburger and before we knew it, we stepped inside and decided to give it a try. We were so glad we did! The burger I had was delicious. I don't remember the name of it, but it's the one with Swiss cheese and mushrooms. It tasted very fresh and the bun was super soft. I also got the haystack which tastes like a less greasy version of the Bloomin' Onion at Outback and it even comes with the sauce as in Outback! So good! The ice tea is also exceptional. It hard to find a place with really good ice tea. The menu has some healthy choices as well of which we were happy to see. The place was very clean and the customer service was very good. The prices were also very good! I think this place is better than Fuddrucker's, but I have to say that my favorite burger place is One Burger; however, this one follows close behind. My husband was impressed with this place too. We are definitely going back!

Really like the concept, the menu, very clean and spacious restaurant, friendly employees. You order and they bring the food to you with a smile! I had a chicken sandwich and my cousin had a smashburger. We got the smash fries and the onion rings. Wow, everything tasted delicious! The meat was juicy and not overcooked or dry at all-just right! The fries were amazing! It has a light rosemary, garlic, truffle oil taste. The onions were good but a little too salty for my taste. I reccommend you try this place!

once again I am surprised at the amount of rave reviews. maybe they have gone downhill recently or we hit a bad day. my wife ordered a truffle mushroom burger and I ordered an avocado burger and we split a plain fries - we find in general that seasoned fries seem too much after a few bites. anyway, the fries were cold and my wife's burger was inedible - burnt to a crisp on one side - like a piece of laminate flooring. never have I ever seen any restaurant at any level burn a burger so badly and then have the lack of consideration to actually serve it. She brought it and the fries back to the counter and they did not complain about making them again which was nice - hence 2 stars rather than 1. The replacement was much better. Mine on the other hand was not so burnt so I ate it but it was way overdone - even for me who eats everything well-done. It was totally dried out. I should have followed my wife and asked for a replacement as well. Amazing that there are people who can over cook burgers worse than I do! I can get mine well-done and still have some juice remaining so it does not feel like I'm chewing on saw dust. This one wasn't quite saw-dust but it was too darn close for the price. My wife's replacement was better - well done but still some juiciness remained. On the bright side the rolls are good and the flavor of the toppings were good. I'll stick with Elevation Burger - their rolls are not as good but the beef is tastier and they can do a juicy well done burger.

The fries are worth trying. The burgers are ok. Drink machine was not working I day I visited. Very pricey and slow service. My co-worker loved the tai milkshake.
